We are looking for a dedicated and passionate chef to join our growing culinary team at Waresley Park Estate. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and culinary arts and a keen understanding of food safety standards. As a chef, you will work closely with our head chef, playing a vital role in creating seasonal and locally sourced menus that continue to develop Waresley Park Estate as a food orientated destination for our guests across numerous sectors of the business.
Waresley Park Estate has a number of hospitality focussed activities including luxury accommodation, event space, spa, coffee shop, yoga and a small plates restaurant. There is emphasis on open fire cooking through our partnership with OFYR BBQs.
Accommodation can be made available if required.
Duties:
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menus.
- Work with the head chef to write seasonal, local and interesting menus across a number of sectors of the business.
- Manage a kitchen team effectively, to ensure timely service and high quality food presentation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including all matters relating to EHO compliance.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels and food and chemical supplies relating to all kitchen activities.
- Proven experience as a chef at a similar level within a restaurant or commercial kitchen.
- Strong knowledge and a passion for culinary technique, food preparation methods and customer experience.
- Level 2 Food Hygiene is a minimum requirement.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Open to flexible working.
