Panel Wirer

The Role:

Our client in Sandy are looking for an experienced Panel Wirer to join their team on a permanent basis. Due to their continued growth, you will have the opportunity to complete the wiring for the electrical panels on market-leading specialist machinery. This is a hands-on, workshop-based role requiring precision and experience in electrical panel construction.

Responsibilities:

  • Wiring of panels from electrical schematics
  • Interpret EPLAN schematics, mechanical layouts, and BOMs
  • Use hand and power tools to fabricate and assemble panel components
  • Measure and mark out on various materials (stainless steel, GRP, mild/galvanised steel)
  • Perform continuity testing and basic functional checks
  • Maintain Production build documentation and complete forms as required by in-house procedures.

Person Specification:

  • Electrical Engineering qualification or relevant experience with control panel building
  • Ability to read and understand electrical schematics/drawings
  • Crimping using handheld tools
  • Good knowledge of electrical principles
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
  • Competent with workshop tools and safe working practices

Hours and Pay:
  • 39 Hours per week
  • Up to 18/hourDOE
  • Overtime at time and a half
  • Own transport
