A well-established leader in the building services and renewable energy industry, our client specialises in delivering complex and high-quality 'green' engineering solutions across a wide range of sectors. They are now looking for an experienced Project Manager with a mechanical or electrical bias to join their team. Works will be on a new-build healthcare project in Scarborough and this exciting opportunityhasa total M&E value of 10million.
Role Overview:
As Project Manager, you will take full responsibility for the management and successful delivery of this projectfrom 'cradle to grave'. This includes managing all phases from pre-construction through to the final handover, ensuring that the project is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
Pre-construction Phase: Work closely with the senior management team and other stakeholders to develop and finalise the project plan, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
Project Delivery: Oversee the day-to-day operations on-site, managing the project team and subcontractors. Ensure that the mechanicalworks are coordinated effectively and all tasks are completed in accordance with the project specifications.
Budget and Cost Control: Manage the project budget, identifying and mitigating any financial risks, and ensuring cost-effective solutions throughout the project lifecycle.
Health & Safety: Ensure the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance on-site, in line with company policies and regulations.
Stakeholder Management: Maintain strong communication with clients, consultants, and subcontractors, ensuring that all parties are aligned and informed throughout the project.
Quality Assurance: Ensure that the M&E works are completed to the highest quality standards, complying with all relevant industry regulations and client requirements.
Project Handover: Lead the final handover process, ensuring that all project deliverables are completed and documented to meet client expectations.
Skills & Experience Required:
Pre-construction Expertise: Strong experience in pre-construction planning, including budgeting, scheduling, and risk management, ideally within the healthcare or similar sectors.
M&E Knowledge: A solid understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, with either a mechanical or electrical engineering background.
Project Management Experience: Proven experience managing large-scale building services projects, from pre-construction through to handover.
Leadership: Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to effectively oversee project teams and subcontractors.
Communication: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams.
Qualifications:
A relevant engineering qualification, along with building services project experienceof either a mechanical or electrical bias.
