Finisher / Snagger

Are you a highly skilled Finisher / Snagger with a meticulous eye for detail, seeking a stable contract on the Yorkshire coast? We are looking for a dedicated professional to join our team on a busy new build housing development in Scarborough. This role will initially be 3 days per week, with this rising to 5 days after the Christmas break.

You will be crucial in ensuring all new properties are delivered to a premium standard, ready for client handover. This role requires exceptional finishing skills and versatility.

Duties include:

• Rectifying Snags: Identifying, diagnosing, and expertly rectifying all minor defects and aesthetic snags reported on plots.
• Multi-Skilled Finishing: Executing high-quality finishing touches, including fine joinery work (adjusting skirting, hanging doors, fixing cupboards), small-scale patch plastering, touch-up painting/decorating, and precise mastic/silicone application.
• Quality Control: Working against snag lists and specification sheets to ensure zero-defect completion.
• Liaising effectively with the Site Management team regarding progress and material requirements.

• Experience: Proven, extensive experience as a Finisher/Snagger on high-volume new build housing sites.
• Skill Set: Must be genuinely multi-skilled with excellent finishing skills in core trades (Joinery, Painting, Plastering, Mastic).
• A valid CSCS Card is essential.
• Own reliable transport and a comprehensive set of tools suitable for finishing work.
• Exceptional attention to detail, reliability, and professionalism when representing the site.
• Commitment to the schedule change from 3 days to 5 days per week after the Christmas break.
