Our client has a fantastic opportunity for talented Senior Structural Engineer to join the business within their Scarborough team. The role:
- Your primary focus will be to undertake structural design, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations
- Add value to a wide range of construction projects across the complete construction spectrum. Current projects include Schools, Colleges & Universities, Commercial, Residential, Industrial, Petrochemical, Food and Energy
- You will contribute to and oversee the production of technical drawings, calculations and specifications, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop integrated design solutions
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers, maintain high technical standards
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
About you:
- You should be proactive a self-motivated, enthusiastic and engaging team player
- A BEng degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (a master's degree would be an advantage)
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in civil & structural engineering, with a focus on designing and delivering complex projects
- Working towards Chartered Engineer status with a relevant professional body
- Proficiency in using industry-standard software for structural analysis and design
- Excellent knowledge of relevant codes and regulations
- Effective communication abilities, both written and verbal, to engage with clients and team members
- Full UK driving licence
