Our client, Schneider Electric, a global leader in energy management and automation, is urgently seeking a CT Inspection Operative to join their team in Eastfield.
About the Role:
As a CT Inspection Operative, you will play a crucial role in our production processes. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Using computed tomography to perform non-destructive testing (NDT) on electronic components and products.
- Placing components securely within the CT system for scanning.
- Operating industrial X-ray and CT scanning equipment to generate 3D models of parts.
- Analysing the resulting 3D images for internal flaws, defects, material inconsistencies, assembly errors, and ensuring conformance to design specifications.
- Generating reports for quality assurance, failure analysis, or reverse engineering applications.
- Setting up and running automated inspection routines.
- Collaborating with team members to meet production targets
- Maintaining a clean and organised work space
- Following safety protocols to ensure a secure working environment
- Strictly applying standardised processes in manufacturing across various tasks, including basic maintenance.
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the facility.
- Ensuring the quality of operations by adhering to established standards.
- Identifying and communicating any risks related to health, safety, quality, and environmental issues to the Team Leader.
- Reporting all incidents and near misses, while applying the escalation process for any deviations in safety, quality, or performance.
- Processing orders accurately and promptly.
- Carrying out additional duties as assigned by the line manager.
What We're Looking For:
To thrive in this role, you should have:
- Knowledge of NDT principles and prior experience of NDT desirable
- Ability to interpret complex technical data and images
- Proven experience in a quality control, inspection or manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with inspection tools and techniques
- Exceptional attention to detail and proven analytical skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office or equivalent software.
- Ability to work efficiently and accurately, meeting deadlines consistently.
- A practical aptitude for science or engineering skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- High flexibility and dependability.
- A motivated mindset, eagerness to learn, and a good attendance record.
