This is a great opportunity to join my client, an industry-leading, forward-thinking Multidisciplinary Consultancy renowned for lending their expertise to projects across the engineering and energy landscapes. They are on the lookout for a talented, enthusiastic Civils and Drainage Engineer committed to working alongside an already-established team of experts within the civil engineering, drainage, and flood risk sectors, based near the bustling, industrial town of Scunthorpe.

Responsibilities for the role of Civils and Drainage Engineer include:

  • Designing, developing, and delivering a range of drainage and other infrastructure and non-infrastructure solutions for a range of clients
  • Working to deliver interesting projects across the residential, commercial, industrial, energy, and education sectors
  • Producing reports and other technical documents to support planning applications and project delivery
  • Collaborating with other teams, internal and external to the company, to deliver aspects of important, high-profile projects
  • Liaising with colleagues, clients, and other significant stakeholders, at all stages of project delivery, from initial inception through to successful delivery and implementation
  • Attending site meetings and other relevant project meetings, acting as a trusted representative of the company
  • Mentoring and supporting other colleagues

Required skills and experience for the role of Civils and Drainage Engineer include:

  • A Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent qualification ) in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • Demonstrable experience of working in a design-based role, with a particular emphasis on drainage, in a UK consultancy (or Local Authority) setting
  • Excellent working knowledge of AutoCAD, Civils 3D, and InfoDrainage/MicroDrainage
  • Sound understanding of the relevant Section Agreements (e.g., S104, S106, etc.)
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
  • Good organisational skills, with the ability to work as part of a high-performing team, as well as on your own initiative
  • Ability to work well under pressure, adhering to industry standards and regulations, maintaining the highest of standards at all times, and upholding strict health and safety standards
  • Hold a full, valid UK driving licence

Desirable skills and experience for the role of Civils and Drainage Engineer include:

  • Keen interest in proactively pursuing Chartership Status
  • A Master's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • Proficiency with Site3D
