Job Overview:
To support the maintenance team in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the factory. You will work across multiple areas to maintain high standards of safety, reliability, and performance.
Responsibilities:
Electrical and Mechanical Maintenance
- Implement and manage electrical and mechanical systems to minimise downtime.
- Develop and maintain a structured PPM (Planned Preventative Maintenance) program.
- Troubleshoot and resolve equipment breakdowns promptly.
- Conduct routine testing, inspections, and maintenance.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and safety.
- Support management, maintenance, and production teams as required.
- Ensure compliance with internal and external audit requirements.
Reporting and Collaboration
- Provide regular updates to the Engineering Manager and other key stakeholders.
- Work closely with Operations to ensure optimal factory performance.
Skills and Experience Required for the role:
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Electrician within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure.
- Familiarity with Allen-Bradley PLCs, SCADA systems (Citect), and Rockwell software (Studio5000, RS Logix).
- Knowledge of HMIs, VFDs, sensors, and industrial electrical components.
- CAD and Factory Talk experience desirable.
