Background –
We have a fantastic opportunity for an Advanced Nurse Practitioner to support a GP surgery that is proud of its longstanding relationship with its patients and it’s ‘family practice’ approach to healthcare. With an immediate start, the practice are seeking 2 ANPs on a locum basis to support an exciting project, as they implement a new triage model and patient flow system. You would initially be required for 3-6 months, however, there is the potential for extension or a permanent role once the new model is set up.
You will ideally have been working in for a minimum of 2 years as an ANP, within a Primary care setting and will be confident in working autonomously in prescribing and clinical decision making. Previous experience with SystemOne would also be advantageous.

Salary – £42-£55 per hour
Location – Scunthorpe
The surgery –
- Multi-site practice in purpose-built and residential properties
- CQC – Good
- 20,000 patients

Your role
- 8am – 3pm Monday to Friday (35 hrs per week)
- Locum ANP initially for 3-6 months, with potential for extension or permanent employment
- Support in areas such as minor illness, injury, minor ailments and acute on the day appointments
- Assist with same-day access and triage
- Work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary general practice team
- Be able to work autonomously with clinical decision making and prescribing
- Primary Care experience is essential
- Ideally with a minimum of 2 years’ experience working as an ANP
- Independent Prescribing – Essential
- Confident in face-to face and telephone triage
- Familiar with SystemOne
- You must be qualified as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner and have full registration with the NMC
