We are currently recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Scunthorpe. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting both pupils and teachers within the classroom, ensuring every child has the opportunity to thrive.

The role will involve working closely with children on a one-to-one basis, providing tailored support to meet individual learning needs, as well as assisting with small group interventions to help boost progress in core subjects such as literacy and numeracy. You will also be involved in supporting pupils with their social and emotional development, encouraging positive behaviour, and helping to create an engaging and safe learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide support to pupils across a range of abilities

• Assist teachers with classroom preparation and organisation

• Deliver targeted interventions and support learning activities

• Encourage positive behaviour and engagement in lessons

• Help to create a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment

• Have experience working with children, ideally in a school or educational setting

• Be confident supporting pupils with varying learning needs

• Show patience, adaptability, and a nurturing approach

• Work effectively as part of a team and build strong relationships with staff and pupils

• Hold a relevant qualification or demonstrate suitable experience (desired but not essential)
