Logistics/Transport Manager

Are you a strategic and hands-on transport professional with a passion for operational excellence? Do you have CPC? My client is currently seeking an experienced Logistics Transport Manager to lead their transport planning and logistics operations, ensuring high performance, compliance, and customer satisfaction.

In this pivotal role, youll be responsible for managing vehicle routing, driver productivity, and transport efficiency, while also developing your team and driving continuous improvement across the operation.

The role:

Manage vehicle routes, delivery times and transport costs

Coordinate and control the order cycle, ensuring that orders are prioritised correctly and processed on time

To ensure customer expectations and transport efficiency targets are met on regular bases.

Safe management of drivers

Optimise transport efficiencies.

To extract and analyse daily/weekly performance reports, evaluating the performance and quality of both internal and third-party logistics suppliers

Manage and improve office staff by creating KPIs and improvement plans if required

Develop business by analysing logistical problems and producing solutions

Continually try to improve and develop business performance within the constraints of legislation, fuel costs and rising environmental pressures

Understand and implement Company Health and Safety procedures


Measures of success:

Timely provision of KPIs

Efficient planning/routing

Optimum and efficient management of Transport Fleet

Fleet and Drivers are legally compliant

Accurate weekly/monthly data provision


Qualifications

Certificate of Professional Competence

Health and Safety qualification (NEBOSH/IOSH) Preferred

£45k-£55k plus bonus

Are you ready to take on a pivotal role in a fast-paced, dynamic environment? As a Site Production Manager, you will lead day-to-day operations and manage production efficiency and resource management.

The role:

  • Manage and oversee agreed specific recycling teams and areas.
  • Data capture and KPI production to identify all key performance areas
  • Produce and manage continuous improvement plan to improve production, quality output and safety performance
  • Identify and implement best practices to optimise production, recycling and meet KPIs.
  • Oversee waste feedstock streams, ensuring waste received matches the category (EWC) it has been identified as, their handling and separation into correct areas and pre-sorting before processing.
  • Be the responsible Manager for all the Health and Safety processes and Legal Compliances and ensure they are adhered to by all staff.
  • Ensure the recycled output from the production lines meets agreed criteria and best cost dynamic.
  • Report accurate tonnages/throughputs as required.

Ideal candidate:

  • You will have plant and machinery experience
  • A proven ability to increase production outputs with a track record of working to KPI's
  • Strong people management skills
  • Good commercial acumen and proven ability to implement new systems and processes.
  • Experience with the Environmental Agency
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • A passion for continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • IOSH essential
