We are seeking a dedicated Cover Supervisor to join our team in Scunthorpe. This role involves working within an alternative provision, covering lessons as needed. The position is long-term and starts immediately, offering a great opportunity for someone looking to make a significant impact in a supportive environment.
Day-to-day of the role:- Supervise classes in the absence of the teacher, ensuring that pre-set work is completed.
- Maintain a positive learning environment, managing behaviour and keeping students on task.
- Liaise with teachers and staff to ensure effective communication and consistency.
- Assist with the preparation of learning materials and the setup of equipment needed for lessons.
- Provide feedback on student performance and any issues that arise during the day.
- Support students with their learning and development.
- Experience in a similar role, such as teaching assistant or cover supervisor, is highly advantageous.
- Strong classroom management skills.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing circumstances and needs within the school.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A proactive and committed approach to student development.
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
