We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teacher to join our team at The St Lawrence Academy, working within a secondary, mainstream AP. This full-time position is set to commence in September. The role demands a compassionate individual who is skilled in adapting educational practices to cater to the diverse needs of students with special educational needs.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Develop and implement individualised educational plans (IEPs) to meet the specific needs of each student.
  • Collaborate with other teachers, parents, and specialists to maximise student learning and well-being.
  • Monitor and assess the progress of students and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
  • Create a supportive, inclusive, and safe learning environment for all students.
  • Utilise a variety of teaching methods and resources to engage and inspire students.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and SEN expertise.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a focus on Special Educational Needs.
