Reed Education is proud to be working with a well-regarded secondary school in Scunthorpe to appoint a dedicated SEN Teacher for a temporary position starting in September 2025.

The Role

As an SEN Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering tailored lessons to students with a range of additional needs, ensuring they are supported both academically and emotionally. Your duties will include:

  • Creating and implementing individual education plans (IEPs)
  • Delivering differentiated lessons to meet diverse learning needs
  • Working closely with teaching assistants, SENCOs, and external agencies
  • Promoting inclusion and fostering a nurturing learning environment
  • Monitoring progress and adapting strategies to support pupil development
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience working with secondary-aged pupils with SEN
  • Strong knowledge of SEN strategies and inclusive teaching practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare
