THE ROLE:
Your job will be to deliver a smooth efficient running operation for all raw materials and dry goods intake, ensuring quality standards are met and adhered to at all times, and to control the timely dispatch of finished goods ensuring integrity of supply chain system.
- Management of the supply chain and freezer/dry goods warehouse ensuring timely delivery, dispatch and quality of all goods so as not to compromise production or the customer.
- To maintain and develop the standards of health and safety, environmental and welfare of all personnel within the team including visitors, contractors & customers.
- Track and have a clear plan to hit all KPIs related directly to the intake/dispatch process.
- Liaise regularly with contracted hauliers and cold stores, maintaining stock volumes, rotation and on time in full (OTIF) deliveries.
- Manage Vehicle fill utilization to a minimum of 98.5%.
- Management of personnel ensuring sufficient availability of trained team members to intake and dispatch at the correct standard, whilst delivering labor efficiency.
- Maintain a clean as you go policy in all areas of responsibility ensuring hygiene, housekeeping and quality standards are adhered to at all times.
- Communicate clearly with Internal teams and external partners, ensuring handovers are clear and action led.
- Maintain systems and data integrity to ensure an accurate inventory position.
- Build partnering relationships with 3PL's, but with the required degree of challenge to ensure no unnecessary financial impact to the company.
- Embed a personal way of working that enables you to prioritize and anticipate potential issues.
- Build a structured planning process that has time to review activity and improve performance.
- Ensure all department personnel are trained to the required level of competency to carry out their duties safely and efficiently and that mandatory and refresher training is kept up to date.
- Coach and develop the team to maximise performance, addressing any issues as they arise.
- Adhere to all organisational policies and procedures including Food Safety and
- Health and Safety legislation requirements.

The candidate
- 5 years+ experience within a similar role
- At least 5 years' experience of working within a manufacturing / logistics continuous process environment is essential.
- Must have developed and extensive people management and Team Leading Skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- A decent level of computer literacy.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Forklift driving certification - both Counterbalance and Reach Truck licences are required
