About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced and highly organized Transport Planner to join our Clients team. You will be responsible for planning and coordinating transport operations to ensure efficient, cost-effective, and compliant delivery of goods.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and schedule routes for drivers and vehicles.
- Monitor transport operations to ensure timely deliveries.
- Liaise with drivers, customers, and internal teams to resolve issues.
- Ensure compliance with legal requirements, including driver hours and vehicle maintenance.
- Optimize routes to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records and produce reports as required.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in transport planning or logistics coordination.
- Strong knowledge of UK road networks and transport regulations.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in transport management systems and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
