An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Care Team Leader / Residential Support Worker with 3 years’ experience to join an OFSTED registered therapeutic Children’s Home. This full-time role offers a salary of £14.50 per hour and benefits.

As a Care Team Leader / Residential Support Worker, you will provide therapeutic support to children, promoting their physical, emotional, and social development.

You will be responsible for:

  • Leading a small care team to deliver high-quality, child-centred support.
  • Overseeing risk assessments, behaviour plans, and individual care planning.
  • Supporting the ongoing professional development of junior staff.
  • Liaising with professionals from external agencies and local authorities.
  • Maintaining accurate documentation including budgets and petty cash.
  • Managing incidents and supporting the home in a calm, structured manner.
  • Facilitating regular team meetings and participating in 1:1 supervision sessions.

What we are looking for:

  • Previous experience working as a Care coordinator, Care Team leader, Care supervisor, Senior Support Worker, Assistant home manager, Residential Support Worker, Therapeutic Practitioner, Care Practitioner or in a similar role.
  • At least 3 years of experience in residential children’s homes.
  • Background working with children aged 5-18 years or supporting young adults.
  • Level 3 diploma in residential childcare.
  • Understanding of the developmental and emotional needs of children and young people.
  • Knowledge of child-centred care, including the impact of trauma, attachment, and the importance of routine, boundaries, and consistency.
  • Enhanced DBS check.
