About the RoleWe are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Administration Trainee to join a growing accountancy practice team in Seaton. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start or progress a career in administration, with scope for development into a secretarial role. Previous experience is not essential — my client values a willingness to learn and a proactive attitude.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handling incoming and outgoing post (primarily electronic)

  • Answering and directing telephone calls

  • Scanning and filing documents

  • Maintaining and updating company databases

  • Assisting with basic accounts tasks (approx. 30% of role)

  • Supporting the wider team with general administrative duties

Training & Progression

  • 70% of the role will focus on administration tasks, 30% on accounts support

  • Potential to progress into a secretarial position

  • Opportunity to work towards an administration qualification (fully supported by the company)

Skills & Qualities

  • Willingness to learn and develop new skills

  • Good attention to detail

  • Basic IT skills (Microsoft Office, email, etc.)
