Multi-Skilled Engineer - Commercial Site
Location: Sedgefield
Employment Type: Permanent
Salary - 40k
You will be expected to travel between sites on occasion and you may need to cover both but if the role is for Sedgefield that is their main base.
You'll have a pool vehicle for use on site.
Monday - Friday 8-5pm
Call out required- 1 in 4 to 1 in 6.
150 standby, standard overtime rates (4 hours at time and half on Saturday, 4 hours at double time on Sunday/Bank Holiday). Works out to roughly 5,000 per year
About the Role:
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Multi-Skilled Engineer to join our team, providing high-quality maintenance services across a busy commercial site. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance, ensuring the site operates efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out PPM and reactive maintenance on building services and systems (e.g., electrical, plumbing, HVAC, fabric).
- Diagnose and resolve faults efficiently, minimising downtime and disruption.
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety standards and company policies.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance tasks and completed works.
- Support other team members and contractors when required.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Proven experience in a multi-skilled engineering role within a commercial environment.
- Strong knowledge of both PPM and reactive maintenance practices.
- Recognised trade qualifications (electrical, mechanical, or HVAC preferred).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good problem-solving and communication skills.
- Strong awareness of health & safety practices.
