Position Details:
The school are seeking a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to support pupils with a range of additional needs. This may include Autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, learning delays, or social, emotional and mental health needs. You will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver targeted interventions and maintain a positive, structured learning environment.
Responsibilities:
Providing one-to-one and small-group support for pupils with SEND.
Assisting with individual learning plans and personalised interventions.
Supporting pupils with communication, emotional regulation, and behaviour needs.
Helping the class teacher adapt resources for individual learning requirements.
Promoting an inclusive, calm and supportive classroom environment.
Experience & Requirements:
Experience supporting pupils with SEND in a school or similar setting is desirable.
A valid, enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
Patience, resilience and a nurturing approach to supporting children.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
