Tradewind Recruitment are recruiting for a full time Textlies Teacher based in Selby, starting in September. This is a temporary position to cover a period of maternity leave, and as such this could extend in the future. Payment for this position will be in line with the main teaching pay scale, between £31,650 and £46,368 (this may change if pay scales increase in the new academic year).These schools would be interested in applications from applicants who can work on a part time to full time basis, so if you have at least 4 day's availability/interest please contact us.

This role will involve Teaching Textiles to KS3 and KS4 students in Selby and will involve all the planning and marking associated with a teaching role. There is a large bank of resources available for the successful candidate and a strong head of department, so planning requirements for this role will be minimal.

Located in Selby, these schools are easily accessed via car or via public transport. We will provide directions for each school and information of onsite car parking for candidates who do drive. The schools we work with have an excellent reputation in the local area and we have amazing feedback from our candidates. Success in this role can open to longer term roles within the local area.

Tradewind will also support your development during your placement and beyond through our fantastic CPD via The National College. Signing up for this role means you can be offered other shifts and roles through Tradewind Recruitment. You will be joining an agency with several schools in the local area who we work with extremely closely, and as such there will be lots of opportunities for work in a variety of different schools that treat their staff extremely well and as part of the team.

To join us and be successful in this role you will need to:

  • Have experience working within schools in the UK.
  • Has experience supporting within UK schools
  • Has experience Teaching Textiles
  • Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
  • CV must cover the full CV History
  • Legal right to work in the UK
