Job Title: Senior Civil Engineer

Location: Sevenoaks, Kent (40-45 minutes by train from Central London)

Salary: 45,000 - 60,000 (depending on experience)


About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Civil Engineer to join our growing team. You will take responsibility for the design and coordination of a wide range of civil engineering projects, working closely with clients, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary teams.
This role requires both technical expertise and management skills, offering opportunities to mentor junior colleagues and contribute to the ongoing growth of the practice.


Key Responsibilities

  • Leading the design of highways, junctions, foul and surface water drainage systems.
  • Undertaking hydraulic modelling, cut and fill analysis, and infrastructure coordination.
  • Regular liaison with clients, statutory bodies, and other professionals.
  • Attendance at meetings with clear and effective communication.
  • Supervising and mentoring less experienced team members.


Skills & Experience

  • Some years professional experience in civil engineering design.
  • Working towards or already achieved Chartered status.
  • Proficient in hydraulic modelling with strong experience in AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
  • Solid understanding of relevant design standards and best practices.
  • Experience with Section 278, Section 38, Section 104, and Section 185 agreements.
  • Proven ability to work with statutory bodies and external stakeholders.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative approach.

  • Annual Leave: 25 days per annum, plus normal bank and public holidays
  • Discretionary bonus paid 6 monthly depending on company profits and after the 6 month probation period.
