Quality Inspector required to join a well-established precision engineering company that specialise in making components for the medical, aerospace, surveillance and automotive sectors based in the Sevenoaks area.
Quality Inspector Job Overview- Perform first-off, in-process, and final inspections of precision components.
- Use CMMs, micrometers, verniers, height gauges, and other precision measurement tools.
- Interpret and inspect parts to engineering drawings, GD&T standards, and customer specifications.
- Document and report non-conformances and assist in root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Support the implementation of ISO 9001, AS9100, and ISO 13485 quality standards.
- Maintain accurate inspection records and support traceability throughout the manufacturing process.
- Assist in the calibration and maintenance of inspection equipment.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to improve quality processes and reduce defects.
- Participate in internal and external audits as required.
- Proven experience as a Quality Inspector in a precision engineering or CNC machining environment.
- Strong understanding of metrology, GD&T, and inspection techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings and specifications.
- Familiarity with CMM programming (e.g., Mitutoyo, Zeiss, or similar) is highly desirable.
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100, or ISO 13485 quality systems.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with ERP/QMS software is a plus.
- Full time - Permanent position
- Monday to Friday - 40 hours
- Salary - £30,000 to £32,000 (DEO)
