We're working with a leading Housing Association in Kent to recruit an experienced Neighbourhood Housing Officer on a temporary ongoing basis. THE ROLEThis is a key frontline role responsible for managing tenancies, supporting sustainable living, and maintaining safe and welcoming neighbourhoods.
  • Manage a portfolio of tenancies across all tenures, delivering tailored, proactive housing services.
  • Support new tenants to settle into their homes and understand their responsibilities.
  • Handle tenancy changes, including transfers, mutual exchanges, and under-occupation.
  • Respond to and manage reports of anti-social behaviour, safeguarding, and tenancy breaches.
  • Prepare legal documentation and attend court where necessary.
  • Conduct estate inspections and take action to improve environmental conditions.
  • Promote tenant engagement and connect residents with training, employment, and financial wellbeing resources.
THE CANDIDATEWe are seeking a confident and experienced Housing professional with a background in tenancy or neighbourhood management.
  • Previous experience in a similar Housing Officer or Tenancy Officer role is essential.
  • Strong understanding of housing legislation and best practice.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
  • Able to manage complex cases under pressure and meet performance targets.
  • IT literate with experience in using housing or CRM systems.
THE CONTRACTFull time, Monday- Friday Length of Contract: 6 Month Contract, potential for extensionRate: The pay for the role is £24.00 per hour LTD company rate. The PAYE equivalent is £20.46 per hour, inclusive of holiday pay.
