Are you a skilled HGV Mechanic looking to join a close-knit, supportive team where your expertise is truly valued? We’re a long-established, family-run business specialising in commercial vehicle and plant hire — and we’re looking for the right person to help us maintain our growing fleet of 500+ vehicles, ranging from light commercials to 32T lorries.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Routine servicing, inspections, and maintenance of a diverse fleet
  • Pre-MOT checks and diagnostics
  • Carrying out mechanical repairs efficiently and safely
  • Completing internal documentation and job cards
  • Responding to vehicle breakdowns when required
  • Minimising vehicle downtime to keep operations running smoothly
  • Working collaboratively with a team of experienced mechanics

What We’re Looking For

  • NVQ Level 3 qualification in vehicle maintenance (or equivalent)
  • Own set of tools
  • Full UK driving licence (HGV licence is a plus, but not essential)
  • Experience working on plant machinery or light commercial vehicles is desirable

Working Hours

  • Monday to Friday, 7:00am - 5:00pm
  • Alternate Saturdays, 7:00am - 12:00pm (just 5 hours)
