Looking for a workshop that values people over sales targets? My client is hiring a Vehicle Technician / Motor Vehicle Technician / Automotive Technician to join a close-knit, friendly team at a long-standing, family-run garage where your work is appreciated — not upsold.
Whether you're a seasoned mechanic, automotive technician, or just love getting stuck into vehicle servicing, cam belts, clutches, diagnostics, and all kinds of mechanical and electrical repairs — this could be your perfect next step. MOT certification, MOT testing, diagnostic skills, and vehicle fault finding are a bonus, but not essential.
What You’ll Be Doing:• Handling all types of mechanical vehicle repairs and maintenance: servicing, cam belts, clutches, brakes, and general repairs• Working in a clean, well-equipped workshop with a supportive crew• Optionally assisting with MOT testing, vehicle diagnostics, and fault diagnosis if qualified
What We’re Looking For:• A solid background in mechanical vehicle repair and maintenance (Level 3 NVQ preferred)• Confidence working independently on vehicle repairs, mechanical diagnostics, and fault finding• MOT card, diagnostic skills, and electrical repair experience are desirable but not essential• A team player with a good attitude, reliability, and sense of humour
