IT Technician – Exciting Opportunity in the Dairy Manufacturing Sector
Shaftesbury, Dorset | £28,000 - £33,000 (DOE) | Mon–Fri, 8am–5pm | 40 hrs/week
Permanent | On-site | Immediate Start Available

An established and forward-thinking dairy manufacturer in North Dorset is looking for a proactive and hands-on IT Technician to join their expanding Supply Chain team.

This is a brand-new position offering a great mix of technical support, system development, and user engagement in a modern manufacturing environment.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Provide first-line IT support across the site, resolving hardware/software issues

  • Set up and maintain IT equipment for new and existing users

  • Support ongoing ERP system development (Epicor experience a bonus)

  • Liaise with internal users and external IT support where needed

  • Conduct system security checks and regular maintenance

  • Assist with IT user training and documentation

  • Drive improvements and innovation across IT systems and infrastructure

What We're Looking For

Essential:

  • Microsoft Office & Windows (Desktop & Server) – Intermediate to Advanced

  • Microsoft SQL Server – Intermediate

  • 1+ year of experience in commercial IT support or development

  • Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude

  • Comfortable working across factory and office environments

Desirable:

  • Experience with Epicor ERP

  • Basic coding or ability to write technical specifications

  • Familiarity with network mapping, VLANs, VMware, or virtual servers
