Operations Manager – Warehouse / Distribution

MVP is partnering with a progressive, multiple-award-winning logistics business to recruit an experienced Operations Manager to oversee end-to-end site operations — from goods-in to customer delivery.

This newly created role comes as a result of continued growth and a new contract win, offering the opportunity to make your mark within a successful, expanding 3PL operation.

You’ll be responsible for ensuring the smooth, safe and efficient running of a warehousing and distribution operation - driving continuous improvement, and developing your people to deliver best-in-class service.  This is a hands-on, fast-paced leadership role with real scope to shape performance, culture and customer experience on site.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Oversee day-to-day warehouse and transport operations, ensuring KPIs and contractual obligations are met.
  • Lead, motivate and develop your team to deliver operational excellence.
  • Drive continuous improvement and cost efficiency across all areas.
  • Ensure compliance with H&S, HR, and quality standards.
  • Support strategic site objectives and deliver against budget targets.
  • Embody and promote the company’s core values
  • Build trusted relationships with customers and key stakeholders.

What we’re looking for:

  • Proven experience managing warehousing, logistics or 3PL operations 
  • Strong people leader with a track record of developing teams.
  • Commercially astute with solid financial and cost management skills.
  • Excellent communicator with a hands-on approach.
  • Good knowledge of H&S and transport legislation.
  • IOSH/NEBOSH certified; International CPC desirable.
