Southern Commercials Ltd are an independent workshop based in Sheerness, Kent.
We are seeking a skilled LCV / HGV Mechanic to join our team. The available job role is both mobile and based at our Sheerness workshop.
Duties to include carrying out routine maintenance, servicing and vehicle repairs / checks. Diagnose mechanical issues using diagnostic systems and technical manuals. Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with customers regarding repairs and maintenance needs. Attending breakdowns at roadside orcustomers premises when required. Completing all relevant paperwork on job completion.
Skills Required
NVQ Level 3 or equivalent. Strong understanding of mechanical systems and repair techniques. Full driving license (clean preferred). HGV Class 2 would be an advantage. Able to work on own initiative or as part of a team.
Hours of work are Monday - Friday, 7am - 5pm (with paid breaks) plus every other Saturday offered at overtime. Some flexibility can be given to the job role for the right candidate.
Pay will be negotiable depending on experience.
A service van, company mobile phone and iPad will be included in the job role.
