Interim Management Accountant – 3 Month FTCLocation: Sheffield (on-site)Salary: Up to £55,000Start Date: Immediate Start Required

Elevation Recruitment Group is proud to be partnering with a high-profile organisation in Sheffield to recruit an Interim Management Accountant on a three-month fixed-term contract. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and commercially astute finance professional to join a fast-paced and dynamic environment, contributing to key financial processes and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the production of management accounts in line with the financial reporting calendar

  • Conduct monthly management accounts review meetings, documenting minutes and action points

  • Prepare interim and audit packs for external review

  • Maintain and manage the E-request system

  • Perform and review balance sheet reconciliations

  • Support budgeting processes alongside the Accounting & Financial Reporting Manager

  • Prepare VAT returns and compile corporation tax (CT) information

  • Complete national statistic returns as required

  • Assist with statutory and regulatory reporting, including cash flow support

  • Deliver and circulate key weekly management information (MI) reports, including:

    • Commercial performance

    • Facilities and CapEx

    • People/HR data

General Responsibilities:
  • Undertake additional duties as reasonably requested by management

  • Comply with all relevant organisational policies, including data protection, equality, and safeguarding protocols

  • Promote and support a professional, inclusive, and compliant working environment

  • Participate in any training or development opportunities as required

Candidate Requirements:
  • Fully qualified or finalist with a recognised accounting body (QBE candidates also considered)

  • Advanced Excel skills – Essential

  • Experience with Power BI – Desirable

  • Proven experience in producing management accounts and supporting budgeting & audit processes

  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and to tight deadlines

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills

You’ll be reporting directly into the Accounting & Financial Reporting Manager and will play a vital role in driving financial accuracy and insights.
