My client is seeking a motivated and detail-orientedSemi-Senior Chartered Accountantto join our growing team. This role is ideal for individuals who are part-qualified or recently qualified (ACA/ACCA or equivalent) and looking to broaden their experience in a dynamic and supportive environment.


My client is a very modern and forward thinking practice who work completely cloud and digital based.


This is a non-audit rolewithno specialist tax responsibilities, focusing instead on general accounting, financial reporting, and client advisory work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare year-end financial statements for a varied portfolio of clients, including limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders
  • Manage monthly and quarterly management accounts
  • Assist in the preparation and submission of VAT returns and corporation tax computations
  • Support senior accountants in client meetings and correspondence
  • Maintain and update accounting records using cloud software such as Xero, QuickBooks, or similar
  • Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and accounting standards
  • Contribute to internal process improvements and efficiency initiatives
  • Liaise directly with clients to resolve queries and provide day-to-day accounting support

Requirements:

  • Part-qualified or fully qualified ACA/ACCA (or equivalent)
  • Minimum 3 years experience in a UK accountancy practice environment
  • Strong understanding of UK accounting standards and tax regulations (general level only)
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Proficiency in cloud-based accounting systems (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team
