Engineering Estimator

Dutton Recruitment (Sheffield Engineering) are currently recruiting:

We are looking to an Engineering Estimator for a permanent based with our client on Sheffield.

Immediate start available (subject to interview)

Salary is 50,000 per annum (depending to experience)

Key Responsibilities

• Develop estimates at all stages of the project life cycle from feasibility and concept through to detailed design
• Lead on the development of estimating strategies and present to senior stakeholders both internal and external.
• Preparation of the detailed scope/drawings from drawings and specifications
• Prepare material/sub-contract requirements for sourcing and pricing
• Focus on value-engineering throughout the bid stage design process
• Contribute to the identification of risk and pricing of risks throughout bids
• Attend client meetings throughout the tender process where appropriate
• Work on tenders from first principles
• Present tenders at bid team meetings/client presentations

About you:

• Solid background as an estimator within the civil engineering industry
• Experience pricing tenders from first principles
