Senior Quantity Surveyor – Contract RoleLocation: Sheffield (Hybrid/Flexible working available)Contract Type: 4-6 month Fixed-Term / Freelance Contract

We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a leading provider of specialist structural services on a contract basis. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to work on a range of exciting infrastructure projects within a collaborative and dynamic commercial team.

Key Responsibilities:As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for:

• Reviewing and negotiating NEC 3 & NEC 4 contracts
• Drafting and issuing short form contracts to the supply chain
• Providing accurate project rates to support tenders and live works
• Negotiating and verifying Compensation Events with clients and sub-contractors alongside Project Managers
• Raising and reviewing invoices assisted by the Finance team
• Preparing and submitting applications for payment to clients
• Following up on contract agreements and resolution of outstanding issues
• Reviewing CVRs in collaboration with the Finance team
• Ensuring accurate revenue recognition and allocation

What we’re looking for:

• Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor in civil engineering or infrastructure sectors
• Strong working knowledge of NEC forms of contract
• Proficiency with accounting/project management platforms
• Excellent negotiation, commercial, and communication skills
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
• Ability to work collaboratively across teams, as well as independently
