Plant Operator Instructor

We are seeking an NPORS-accredited instructor (or someone willing to work towards NPORS accreditation) to deliver plant operations, CSCS training, and practical skills sessions to learners preparing for work in construction.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, practical training in plant operations and construction safety.

• Provide CSCS training, guidance, and support to help learners pass their tests.

• Demonstrate safe operation of machinery and promote best site practices.

• Assess learner performance through observation and set criteria.

• Maintain accurate records of learner progress, attendance, and assessments.

• Ensure the training area and equipment are safe, compliant, and well maintained.

• Support learners in developing confidence and workplace readiness.

Ideal Candidate

• NPORS Accredited Instructor (essential)

• Experience operating and instructing on plant machinery

• Strong understanding of construction site safety and CSCS requirements

• Good communication skills and the ability to support learners of all abilities

• Passionate about helping people progress into the construction industry

• Reliable, organised, and confident delivering practical, hands-on training

Qualifications

• NPORS Instructor accreditation required

• Any of the following are an advantage (but not essential):

  • Teaching qualification (AET, PTLLS, etc.)

  • Assessor qualification (A1, TAQA)
