Business Growth Advisor - Launchpad

Business Sheffield is seeking an experienced and motivated Business Advisor to join our Launchpad programme on a consultancy basis. This role is crucial in supporting pre-start and early-stage businesses through personalised advice and workshops.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Provide tailored one-to-one support to individuals developing their business ideas and existing small businesses looking to grow.
  • Manage a caseload of clients, supporting them in their business journey, providing critical feedback on prioritisation, cashflow forecasting, and market analysis.
  • Assist individuals and businesses in navigating the relevant regulatory services.
  • Work collaboratively with the wider Business Sheffield team to ensure businesses are connected to the right support at the right time.
  • Represent Business Sheffield at events and meetings.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Significant experience advising start-ups or small businesses.
  • Experience as a business owner is preferable.
  • Strong understanding of the challenges faced by early-stage entrepreneurs and small businesses, with essential expertise in cashflow forecasting.
  • A good understanding of business regulations is highly desirable.
  • Confident communicator with a proactive, adaptable, and customer-focused approach.
  • Knowledge of Sheffield and the city’s business support landscape is an advantage.
