About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced Sous Chef to support a busy events and dining venue in Sheffield. The role involves preparing and delivering high-quality dishes for conferences, dinners, and festive events, catering for groups ranging from 5 to 200 guests.
Key Responsibilities:
Food Preparation & Service
- Assist in preparing and cooking dishes to a high standard
- Support the Head Chef in delivering menus for events and conferences
- Ensure food quality and presentation meet venue standards
Kitchen Operations
- Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment
- Adhere to food safety and hygiene regulations
- Assist with stock control and ordering as required
Event Support
- Work flexibly to meet the demands of conferences, dinners, and Christmas events
- Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth service during busy periods
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Previous experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
- Ability to work under pressure and deliver high-quality dishes
- Flexible and adaptable to varying event requirements
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
Shift Details:
- Thursday 20 November: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- Friday 21 November: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- Week commencing 24 November: 37.5 hours (5/7 working pattern)
- Week commencing 1 December: 37.5 hours (5/7 working pattern)
- Week commencing 8 December: 37.5 hours (5/7 working pattern)
