This is not an entry-level sales role — it is a high-impact business development position for someone with the commercial acumen and industry credibility to open doors and close complex, high-value deals.The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying, engaging, and securing new key accounts aligned with business goals to expand market share, diversify revenue, and strengthen our competitive position. Key Responsibilities of the Business Development Manager:• Lead generation & deal-closing: Proactively source and convert high-potential leads into long-term clients• Strategic market entry: Research and develop go-to-market plans for targeted international sectors• Contract negotiation: Manage end-to-end sales cycles, leading commercial negotiations to secure profitable agreements• Account management: Build and grow strategic partnerships that support long-term business goals• Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with marketing, operations, and engineering to align client needs with business capabilitiesWhat We’re Looking For:• Proven success in closing significant B2B deals in the manufacturing industry, ideally engineering-focused• Experience selling into sectors such as Nuclear, Hydro, or Energy infrastructure is advantageous but not essential • Background in high-voltage rotating electrical equipment or coil/bar sales desirable but not essential• Strong commercial negotiation and strategic relationship-building skills• A curious, value-focused mindset with the ability to listen, adapt, and identify opportunity• Experience managing international accounts and market expansion• Results-driven, ambitious, and confident in high-stakes client environmentsThis role requires frequent international travel and the ability to work autonomously, with weekly in-person collaboration at their South Yorkshire facility.Elevation Recruitment Group are the retained partner on this role and any direct or third party CVs will be forwarded to us as part of this process.
