Sales Manager| Sheffield | Full Time – Office Based | £35,000 - £45,000 + uncapped commission – Realistic OTE £54,600 + Bonus

Our client is a trusted UK-based manufacturer of precision-engineered industrial blades and wear parts, supplying high-performance solutions to the recycling, waste management, biomass, and processing industries. From shredder blocks and granulator blades to chipper knives and regrind services, their products are relied on by leading OEMs, service engineers, and processing facilities across the UK and Europe.

As they continue to expand their market presence, they're now seeking a Sales Manager to strengthen and lead their established sales team, bringing added seniority to key customer engagements, increasing accountability around team performance, and fostering a more collaborative and high-performing sales culture.

Are you the right person for the job?

  • Proven success in a sales leadership role, ideally in a technical, industrial or manufacturing environment
  • Experience developing sales teams and managing performance through clear KPIs
  • Track record in building and maintaining long-term B2B customer relationships
  • Confident in field sales and customer visits across the UK
  • Skilled in CRM use, sales forecasting and reporting
  • Background in machine components, recycling, or engineering-led sectors is a plus
  • Experience in shaping team culture or scaling up a commercial team is desirable
  • Commercially sharp, results-driven and motivated by team success
  • People-focused leader with strong emotional intelligence
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to balance strategic oversight with hands-on involvement

What will your role look like?

  • Lead, develop and expand their existing team of three, fostering a collaborative, motivated and customer-focused environment
  • Take responsibility for the performance of the team, with a focus on driving target achievement across new business and existing accounts
  • Develop clear reporting and visibility over sales activity and pipeline progress, enabling the Head of Sales and Marketing to make informed decisions
  • Work closely with existing team members to enhance consistency in performance and customer experience
  • Support professional development through coaching, regular feedback and performance planning.
  • Conducting regular one-to-ones, pipeline reviews and team performance updates
  • Promote a culture of open communication, shared goals and continuous improvement
  • Personally manage a portfolio of key accounts, working alongside team members to further strengthen relationships with strategic customers
  • Lead on customer acquisition and re-engagement of dormant accounts, alongside driving retention of their valued client base
  • Represent the company at customer sites across the UK—understanding operational needs and positioning their products as a trusted solution
  • Work closely with the Marketing and E-commerce teams to ensure sales and campaign activity are aligned for optimal impact
  • Feed market and customer insights back into marketing and production teams
