Drainage Engineer – Senior/Principal

Due to current and increasing workload our environmental consultancy client are looking to recruit a

Drainage Engineer at Senior (or Principal) level. You will join a successful team that offers opportunity.

Important - Substantial drainage design experience gained with highways, civil, residential or commercial schemes. Ideally experience across all four.

We do need you to be conversant with design software programmes such as MicroDrainage, AutoCAD and Civils3D including integration with BIM models as well as being comfortable sitting in front of and liaising with clients.

We would be keen that the right individual would have a good spread of experience across residential, commercial, civil and highways.

 

Requirement (all or most)

  • Substantial drainage design experience.
  • Strong knowledge of DMRB and Sewers for Adoption standards for drainage design
  • Expertise in software design methods such as MicroDrainage, AutoCAD and Civils3D including integration with BIM models
  • Technically competent in fundamental hydraulic design principles and ability to apply manual calculation methods where software methods are not available
  • Understanding of flood modelling of overland flow and its application in highways projects
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills inc good report writing skills
  • Ability to think in an innovative and entrepreneurial manner
  • A strong team-working ethic is essential
