This is a great opportunity for a Geotechnical Engineer to join a team of multidisciplinary consulting engineers in Sheffield, on a range of exciting projects. The Geotechnical Engineer selected will be:

  • Assisting with site walkovers.
  • Carrying out site investigations.
  • Soil and rock logging.
  • Preparing phase plans and carrying out phase 1 Desk Studies.
  • Writing factual and interpretive reports.
  • Work on in situ testing.

This Geotechnical Engineer position therefore requires applicants to have a minimum of a BSc in geology, environmental science, geoscience, geotechnical engineering, environmental engineering or a relevant subject (MSc preferable). Applicants must have previous experience in the ground investigation industry, be keen to learn and develop skills and have an ability show enthusiasm for working outdoors in a hands on role. Candidates must hold a full UK driving licence, live commutable to Sheffield and have a full right to work in the UK.
