Contract Scotland is working in partnership with a Survey Consultancy to support a major office surveying contract. This is a fantastic short-term opportunity for individuals with a background in construction, engineering, or building services to gain practical, paid experience on a large-scale project.
Location: Sheffield
Role: Building Asset Surveyor
Duration:Â Immediate start until end of July (with potential to extend into August)
Rate: £15hr
Accommodation: Provided for those travelling from outside the area
About the Role
The work involves surveying building services within office buildings in Sheffield. The process is straightforward and well-structured – ideal for individuals who are reliable, methodical, and have a good eye for detail.
You’ll be issued an iPad and an online system log the number of building services in each room – such as lights, ventilation ducts, and radiators. Once an item has been surveyed, you’ll place a sticker on it to show it’s been completed.

Requirements:
- Degree or MSc in Construction, Engineering, or a related field
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Attention to detail and the ability to follow a consistent process
- Availability to work full-time through July, with potential to extend into August
