Radius Aerospace Sheffield is a state of the art aerospace facility that supplies complex fabricated and machined exhaust assemblies into the aerospace industry. It is a leading supplier of civil exhaust systems to the aerospace market.

With more than 1000 employees between America and the UK, Radius is position to provide a wide array of fabrication solutions, including welding, bonding, forming, machining, processing and assembly.

The Role: CNC Miller

Salary: £33,396 + 12.5% Shift Allowance (£37,570.50) + Overtime Available

Shifts: Mornings (06:00-14:00) and Afternoons (14:00-22:00)

Overview: As a CNC Miller, you will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of CNC Milling machines, ensuring components are manufactured to tight tolerances and high-quality standards.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Operate CNC Milling machine to manufacture precision gas turbine components
  • Read and Interpret engineering drawings 
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work routines to meet production targets
  • Carry out Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) to maintain equipment performance
  • Conduct inspections using CMM and manual measuring tools
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Essential:
    • CNC Milling and Manual Milling experience
    • Proficiency with measuring equipment (e.g. Verniers, Gauges, Micrometers)
    • Ability to interpret SOPs, technique sheets, drawings, and specifications
    • Relevant CNC operation qualifications or extensive industry experience
  • Desirable:
    • Experience in the aerospace or a similar high-precision industry
    • Knowledge of HSE principles, SOP development, and basic Continuous Improvement (CI) methodologies
