Job Title: Tool Room Machinist
Location: Sheffield
Shifts: Mornings and Afters
Salary: 14.25 to 15.50ph DOE with shift premium
Permanent Position
Metalis are currently in partnership with a manufacturing company who are looking to hire a skilled toolroom machinist on a permanent basis.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manufacture new tooling to issued drawings.
- Press tool manufacture and assembly.
- Repair and service of press tooling preventative maintenance on tooling, all aspects of machining and bench fitting, i.e., cnc milling, grinding and turning.
- Utilisation of measuring equipment to produce tooling / parts to drawing tolerance.
- Testing / developing tooling prior to release.
- Attending power press to identify or overcome problem whilst tooling is in a running condition, identify problem or requirements for improvements.
- To assess the life of press tooling to manufactures spares parts that need replacing.
- Adhering to health and safety regulations.
Person Specification:
- Time served CNC / Manual machinist required.
- Experienced Tool Maker.
- Experience with Heidenhein CNC controls.
- Attention to Detail.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Problem solving skills.
Salary and Shifts:
Mornings and Afters
- Mornings - 6.00am to 2pm Mon - Thurs, & Friday 06.00am to 1pm
- Afternoons - 2pm to 10pm Mon -Thurs, Friday 1pm - 10pm
20% shift premium on afters
Overtime available at times (not contractual or mandatory) when 39 hours have been worked.
- Mon- Fri - Basic +33%
- Sat - Basic + 50%
- Sun - Basic + 100%
