They are now seeking a forward-thinking H&S Manager to help shape, build and embed a best-practice safety culture across the business.
This is a rare opportunity for an H&S professional who thrives in an environment where you can start from a blank canvas and make a genuine, measurable impact. Working closely with senior leadership, you will take responsibility for reviewing current systems (where they exist), designing a robust H&S framework, and driving consistent implementation across multiple sites.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing company-wide Health & Safety policies, procedures and performance standards
- Conducting site audits and risk assessments to ensure full compliance with legal and industry-specific requirements
- Leading, mentoring and influencing managers at all levels to embed a positive safety culture
- Providing practical, hands-on support and coaching to operational teams
- Delivering training, toolbox talks and safety briefings
- Managing incident investigations and implementing corrective action plans
- Reporting on KPIs, trends and improvements to the senior leadership team
- Acting as the subject-matter expert on all H&S matters across the organisation
Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong experience in a Health & Safety leadership role (any multisite, operational or fast-paced sector considered)
- A proven track record of managing, coaching and developing teams
- The confidence to challenge, influence and drive change effectively
- The ability to build structure, process and governance in an environment that is evolving
- NEBOSH General Certificate (as a minimum); Diploma advantageous
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationally
