Role Overview
The Tooling Technician will be responsible for cleaning, inspecting, repairing, and preparing forging tools and dies, ensuring they are production-ready at all times. Working closely with both engineering and production teams, the role demands a hands-on approach, strong attention to detail, and a proactive mindset. This role will suit an individual with workshop, forge, or heavy engineering experience who is looking to develop their skills in a fast-paced, industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities

Ensure strict compliance with all Health, Safety, and Quality standards.

Clean forging tools and dies following production use.

Conduct visual inspections of tools and dies for wear, cracks, or damage.

Use basic measuring equipment (callipers, micrometres, etc.) to verify tool accuracy.

Shot-blast and polish tooling for reuse.

Carry out general repairs and preventative maintenance on dies and tooling.

Prepare and organise tooling for upcoming production jobs.

Maintain accurate records of tool conditions and maintenance activities.

Collaborate with production and engineering teams to ensure tooling is ready when required.

Assist with preventative maintenance schedules.

Provide support to other departments when required.
Qualifications & Skills
