Purpose of Role
- To provide high quality training and assessments in line with DVSA test standards.

Key Responsibilities
- To provide high-quality practical training to learners, ensuring they meet the required DVSA test standards for safe and efficient operation of vehicles.
- To carry out driver assessments in line with DVSA standardised processes, to evaluate skills and identify areas of development
- Provide objective and fair assessments of driving competence
- To deliver classroom courses, including Driver CPC and in-house courses as required.
- To support learners with theory preparation.
- To travel to corporate clients to carry out driver risk assessments in line with their requirements.
- To ensure all training is carried out complies with relevant legislation and industry standards
- Stay updated on changes in regulations and best practices
- Maintain accurate records of training progress and assessments
Essential Skills and requirements
- Experience in vocational driver trainer HGV and PCV
- Proficient in driver checks and reporting procedures
- Strong teaching and coaching skills
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, road signs and driving regulations (The Highway Code)
- Flexible who works hours including early starts and late finishes
Hours Expected
40 hours Monday to Friday
Overtime available when required
