Belmont Recruitment are seeking a compassionate and committedEducational Support Workerto join the team atSheaf Training Centre in Sheffield, supporting young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). This is a temporary contract for 2-3 months with a view to extend.

Key Details:

  • Location:Sheaf Training Centre, Sheffield

  • Hours:8:30am to 4:30pm

Duties will include:

  • Providing one-to-one and small group learning support for learners with SEND

  • Assisting in the delivery of tailored educational activities and resources

  • Supporting learners with personal care needs where required

  • Encouraging independence, confidence, and social interaction

  • Helping manage classroom behaviour in a positive and supportive way

  • Liaising with teaching staff, therapists, and parents to support learner progress

  • Ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment at all times

Requirements:

  • Previous SEN Teaching/Support experience
  • Able to support High Needs learners overcome barriers to learning with a focus on tracking learner progress towards Preparation for Adulthood, Math's and English.
  • Enhanced DBS
