We are seeking a skilled Electrical Maintenance Technician to support the upkeep of manufacturing equipment within the life science industry. This permanent role is based in Sheffield and offers an opportunity to enhance and maintain critical engineering systems.

Description

As the Electrical Maintenance Technician you will be tasked with the following;

  • Conduct routine maintenance on manufacturing equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical faults in machinery and plant systems.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to implement improvements in production processes.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards during all maintenance activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of work carried out and parts used.
  • Support the installation of new machinery and equipment as required.
  • Provide technical assistance during breakdowns to minimise downtime.
  • Participate in planned preventative maintenance schedules and projects.

Profile

A successful Electrical Maintenance Technician should have:

  • A recognised qualification in electrical engineering or a related field.
  • Experience in maintaining and repairing manufacturing equipment.
  • Knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and controls.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • A commitment to safety standards and best practices in engineering.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team within the Sheffield site.
