Are you a proactive HR professional with a passion for both operational delivery and people development?Elevation Recruitment Group are looking for a People and Development Operations Lead to join a public sector organisation based in Sheffield.

This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a small, committed team and make a real impact on the employee experience, from casework and wellbeing to L&D design and performance management. Duties & Responsibilities of the People & Development Lead include:

  • Acting as a trusted adviser on employee relations matters, including performance, conduct, and conflict resolution
  • Leading and delivering learning and development initiatives that support organisational goals
  • Overseeing the implementation and improvement of people policies, procedures, and systems
  • Building strong relationships across the organisation and offering expert support to managers and leaders
  • Managing a small team, providing guidance, coaching, and development opportunities
  • Using data and insights to drive operational improvements and inform decision-making

Key Skills & Experience required:

  • CIPD Level 5 or equivalent experience
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law and employee relations best practice
  • Proven experience in managing casework and developing learning initiatives
  • Skilled in building relationships and influencing at all levels
  • Confident in using HR systems and analysing people data
  • A collaborative leader who can motivate a team and drive performance
