Job Title: FLT Driver
Location: Sheffield
Mon-Fri 8am-4pm with half hour paid dinner break, total of 40 hours per week worked.
The basic salary is 28,033 plus a 0.75% attendance bonus, which gives an average salary of 28,243
Main Areas of Responsibility
- Receipt of stock to be inspected, receipted by use of barcode and put away and stacked safety to the appointed location.
- Assemble loads in readiness for despatch, checking pallets for cleanliness or damage when assembling. All pallets to be cleaned if appropriate or if damaged set aside for remedial action.
- Check status of pallets being assembled to ensure good ware. If QC stickers are present and ware is good stock check with distribution office.
- Check integrity and tautness of shrink wrap applied to pallets, any shrink wrap with holes to be re-bagged, non-fusion shrink wrap to be used only on PLM and D packed ware
- Pre-checks of trailer prior to loading to ensure that it meets the required company standard on cleanliness.
- Loading of lorries to be conducted in a timely manner from preassembled loads. Check driver paperwork corresponds with despatch pallets. Final check of load when loading to vehicle.
- Ensure driver straps the load to the prescribed standard in force at time.
- Housekeeping.

Person Specification
- Use of an RF gun (desirable)
- 4 pallet handler (desirable)
- Working in a previous warehouse environment (preferably externally)
- Have a current valid fork truck license (essential)
- Numerate and literate (GCSE or equivalent)
- PC literate (desirable)
